Welcome to the eighth issue of. , the monthly newsletter from the MSD Interpharma HIV Team.

HIV@MSD is the monthly newsletter from the MSD Interpharma HIV Team who provides support for the development and implementation of comprehensive HIV/AIDS strategies that
are conducted in partnership with many different national programs, with private sector entrepreneurs, and with bilateral organizations. Through our newsletter, we would like to share
with you the lessons we have learned from these projects and activities.

Ever since the release of the first cost-efficacy study results showing that it made sense to set up HIV/AIDS programs at the workplace, we have been hearing about the need to develop new toolkits in order to assist the private sector in this domain.

"Toolkit"….a strange word to describe the means for solving
your HIV/AIDS problems! But my current code name is even stranger: BBAHA! It stands for "Blueprint for Business Action
on HIV/AIDS*
".

"After years of contacts with leading companies and national business coalitions, here I am in the spotlight! I am so proud to think that I have been conceived for Africa, by Africans. Four of my godfathers and godmothers are members of the Nigerian, Kenyan, Ivorian and Malawian Business Coalitions, the fifth one being extremely involved in the Cameroonian private sector.

They leaned over my cradle last July with a triple goal:
- assess the global approach of my program,
- improve my contents in the light of their own business experiences,
- evaluate my added value for the African Private Sector.

Lots of toolkits and handbooks are already perceived as user-friendly, informative, and the miracle solution to your worries! But I am the new kid on the block, and my family members are certain that their new offspring is unique. Why not see for yourself! Find out more about my specific characteristics, my Editorial Board's first impressions and what I can do to help you set up your workplace program".
