In the
case of ALUCAM, the aluminum production plant of the Pechiney
group (now ALCAN), the pilot study was called TRICAM (Trithérapies
Cameroun). Much courage and determination was needed then
to convince the Board that it was the corporate responsibility
to look after those contributing to the productivity and the
success of the company.
ALUCAM's
HIV program demonstrated positive impact on:
- Medical costs and productivity of employees.
- Voluntary counseling and testing which has significantly
increased.
- Social climate in the workplace.

and how the TRICAM results have triggered new programs
in several private companies in Cameroon and other African
countries.

in getting your feedback on our newsletter and website. We
would very much appreciate it if you could spare a few minutes
and answer 12 short questions in order to help us improve
its design and contents. This issue proposes a survey that
our team is conducting until March 31, 2006. in order to improve
HIV@MSD. We thank you in advance for the 2 minutes of your
time spent on answering our questions.
