Beata, thrilled to fulfill the government's conditions to benefit from ARVs
She fits the government's national guideline requirements for people to be eligible to receive free HIV treatment and care. She has a fixed address in Rwanda; she makes less than 50,000 Rwandan francs ($90) per year; she has proof of a person in her family who makes sure she is following her treatment; and she had a CD4 count of under 200 when she first went in to the health center.
Because of her treatment, Beata has been able to continue cultivating the beans and sorghum that she and her daughter depend on for food.
